My name is KAHU*!

Meet Kahu! This gentle giant came to the Shelter as a stray and in some serious need of a confidence building. A wonderful team of foster parents stepped up to help this girl gather real world experience (aka hanging out in a home and learning how to dog). She is currently in a foster home with a family. She is still shy but has come SO FAR since coming into the Shelter. Kahu would thrive in a home with a dog savvy adopter, a fenced in yard and a social, confident resident dog. She is mastering house training thanks to her foster parent and access to a yard. She goes for daily walks and has even befriended some other dogs. Although she has not necessarily played - she is enjoying sharing trails along with the other pups. There is a dog-savvy rockstar of a child in her foster home who Kahu enjoys going on walks with.
