My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo

6 year old Milo was rescued from a horrible cruelty situation and then found himself up for euthanasia for no reason other than space at an overcrowded shelter. Our rescue was able to save his life and now Milo is enjoying time in his foster home while he waits for his forever family! Milo is about 50lbs and very well behaved in the house. He is crate trained and house trained. Milo's foster said she cannot stress enough how sweet and mild mannered he is.

Milo is currently living with other dogs. He gets along well with anyone and everyone. He has a medium energy level, making him the perfect companion.

Milo was rescued with his brother, Hunter, who is also available for adoption.

Milo is heartworm positive and has started slow kill treatment, which our rescue will provide to his adopters at no cost until he tests negative.

Additional adoption info

Adoption process:
Potential adopters complete our online application. From there, we contact them to continue the screening process including checking references, vet checks, and a personal phone interview. Upon completion, potential adopters are pre-approved.

From there, potential adopters are put in touch with the foster parent(s) of the dog they are interested in adopting. If a specific dog is not in mind, admins will make suggestions based on who we feel will be good candidates for their home. We take the foster's opinions into high consideration when determining ideal fit for an adoption.

Once the dog is determined to be a good fit for the adoptive home, the adopter is given advisement on decompression, training, safety gear, and future no preventative vetting. The adoption contract is signed and adoption fee paid to finalize the adoption.
