My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ginger is a working cat, and is looking for a barn home.
Ginger is a gentle soul with a heart as soft as her fur. This beauty found her way into our shelter, seeking a haven of patience and understanding. She was found in a colony of cats and came to us with her 5 siblings. It has taken a while to get them to trust us. Ginger still has not let us pet her yet, so she would make a good cat for the indoors or outdoors. I'm sure she'd prefer to be indoors, and with some patience I think she could come around to being pet.
Ginger loves to play and she also enjoys quiet moments.
Ginger is patiently waiting to find a forever home filled with love, patience and tranquility.
To set up a meet-n-greet or to adopt Ginger please fill out an adoption application.

More about this rescue

At Oakbrook Cat Rescue, we are a dedicated team of passionate volunteers united by our love for cats. As a no-kill rescue group, we provide a safe haven for both kittens and adult cats, ensuring they thrive in loving foster homes instead of cages. Our mission is to shower every feline in our care with compassion while offering essential services such as spaying, neutering, vaccinating, microchipping, and conducting FIV/FeLV combo tests.

We believe that every cat, whether a playful kitten or a wise old soul, deserves a second chance at happiness. In addition to caring for our adoptable cats, we support our community by assisting with the needs of feral and community cats whenever we can, helping to provide care and resources for local colonies.

From the most affectionate to the shyest, Oakbrook Cat Rescue is devoted to finding each of them a forever home filled with love. Together, we strive to make a difference—one paw at a time.
