Please note that because all our dogs live in foster homes, we are unable to set up meetings with a dog unless we have a completed adoption application on file. Adoptions must be within a reasonable drive from WAYNE, PA for our volunteers to be able to conduct an in-person home visit.

Meet Margo! Margo is an 11-year-old, 10 lb, Shih Tzu/Maltese mix who was found as a stray. Being both blind and deaf, she was shaking like a leaf when she was rescued. Margo was so matted and dirty that her eyes were stuck together; so she quickly received a good grooming. The adorable face hidden underneath immediately captured everyone’s hearts.

Although she cannot see or hear, Margo is very smart and learns to navigate new surroundings with her foster mom’s help. She is fully potty trained and can also use a pee pad.

Margo needs help with stairs and for her safety would prefer a fenced-in yard. Margo can walk on a leash and happily sleeps in a dog bed in a large dog pen. She is good with dogs and kids but older kids are preferred due to her special needs. Margo eats Fresh Pet food and is scheduled for her dental this week.

Margo is an amazing pup whose ideal home would have an owner who was home a lot of the time. Although she can be independent, she prefers to stay with her foster mom lounging on the couch, being carried around, or sunning outside. She surprised everyone by showing her love for the water and going for a swim in the pool.
