My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

For The Cats' Sake

Wonky is a striking tuxedo cat with a handsome black-and-white coat. When he first arrived, he was quite feral, but with patience and care, he has learned to trust and now enjoys being petted. Wonky gets along well with other cats, having come from a colony we took in after their owners moved out of state. We believe that with the right home, Wonky will continue to thrive and become a beloved member of the family.

ONLINE ADOPTION FORM:        https://form.jotform.com/81848821130152

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group of at least $80. On average, we spend $200 to cover food, litter, spay/neuter, testing, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care or medicine needed. Adopters donate $80 or more, as they choose, to cover cat's expenses, and help our rescue continue to treat and find homes for more cats. This flexible policy makes it possible for people to adopt more than one cat or multiple barn cats.

 CAT EXPENSES:
 Spay/neuter $75 to $150.
Rabies and FVRCP $50.
Test for FiV and FeLV $35.
Microchip $25 (adopter registers for life for $30)
Wellness check at vet $50.
Flea treatments and deworming $40.
Any additional vet care or medications needed.
Food and litter $40 upwards, depending on time of stay.

More about this rescue

For The Cats' Sake was founded in 2014 in response to a need for TNR in Rappahannock County, Virginia. Since that time, we have encountered many situations where there is no place for the cats to be returned. In other instances the cats are friendly or there are momma cats too pregnant to be spayed, or young kittens that are adoptable, but need socialization and foster care. Currently we have about 40 cats and kittens in foster care being prepared for adoption. All felines are Up to Date on vaccinations and tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV. Depending on age at time of adoption, they are also Spayed/Neutered.
