Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We have made the painful decision to rehome our 2.5 year old dog, Ginger.
We adopted Ginger in January 2023 from the San Jose Animal Care Shelter. She is extremely sweet, loving, protective, warm, and playful. She enjoys running on grass, playing fetch, and cuddling in bed. She also loves to abuse her “treat” button and get treats, bread or strawberries in return!
Ginger has displayed some aggression towards other dogs, unfortunately. She needs a home that can handle and train out her aggression, is willing to deal with her separation anxiety, and is able to spend the time to train her to be less reactive and toy possessive.
We are looking for a home where she can thrive despite her quirks. Also, we would appreciate it if her new pawrents would be willing to let us meet her every once in a while - she's been such an important part of our lives for 18 months and it pains us to have to let her go, but if we can see her every now and then, that might make it a tad bit easier for us.
