Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Daisy is an absolute sweetheart! This adorable girl would need her new family to take things slow with her, as she can be a little bit nervous and unsure at first. But once she opens up, with her full personality on display, you will not be disappointed by her sweet nature! This goofy girl loves to get pets and cuddles. Submit an application for Daisy today!
**Daisy has a discounted adoption fee to help find her furrever home! Please note that applicants are still required to follow our adoption process and meet the requirements of this pet in order to be approved to adopt**
~ Daisy is looking for an active home that will be able to provide lots of daily exercise and enrichment ~ Daisy will need to be signed up for training prior to going into her fur-ever home to set her and her new family up for success! ~ Her new family will need to be willing to work slowly to ensure this girl starts to see the world as not such a scary place ~ Daisy can be sound and touch sensitive and will need her new family to work slowly with desensitisation. ~ Once Daisy is comfortable with someone she is very friendly and outgoing. But her new family will need to be prepared to work on building this sweet girls confidence!
Regularly Exhibited Behaviours Noticed: - High Energy - Under-Socialized - Jumpy / Mouthy - Fearful / Nervous
Explanation of Behaviours: - Active dog that is high energy and needs plenty of attention, training, exercise and enrichment daily. - Will need to be worked and trained with to improve difficult behaviours such as mouthing and jumping. - She can be shy and nervous at first and will need her new family to do slow introductions with new people, situations and environments. - Daisy has shown to be reactive to new people out of fear/discomfort. She specifically has shown this when in her kennel behind a barrier. - Daisy has shown some sound sensitivity - She can be touch sensitive, especially with new people. Daisy also does not like it when anything is moved over her head and will need work to help with desensitization.
This dog would benefit from: - An active home - A home consisting of all adults - No apartments - Lots of training - Lots of time and attention - Lots of socialization
Training needs/behaviours that need to be worked with for this dog: - Basic training - Basic manners - Jumping up and mouthing - Socialization – including worki

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
