I'm Max, a 4-yr-old, 17 lb boy seeking my forever family. My mommy fell ill and moved out of state for care, leaving me with someone she trusted. Unfortunately, I haven't been well cared for and have been living in neglect. My mommy loves me dearly and wants me to find a better home rather than wait for her recovery.

Recent vet trip confirms I'm healthy and vaccinated. Had to be shaved due to severe matting, and have cherry eyes. Looks a bit alarming, but not major. Vet gave foster mom steroid drops to give me while I wait.

Due to the recent neglect, I might need help relearning house-training and tricks, but foster mom is helping me with that. I have a charming personality, love cuddles, and am very loyal.
