My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shasta is a 2 year old female weighing about 40 pounds. Shasta came to us with several other dogs and is a bit timid and under socialized at this time. Shasta is currently in a foster home where she will begin to build her confidence around people. She is still young enough to quickly learn that people can be nice to be around. Shasta is up to date on all vaccines, spayed, micro chipped and heart worm negative. Her adoption fee is $200. Transportation assistance is available.

Additional adoption info

Perspective adopters can find our dogs on Petfinder or social media or by just coming to the shelter. Upon choosing a dog to adopt, they will be interviewed and if the dog appears to fit their needs, the adoption will take place. If the dog is already altered, they can go home that day. If not yet altered, a vet appointment will be scheduled and the adopter can pick their dog up from the vet the day of the surgery.

More about this shelter

We are a regional shelter servicing two rural counties in Kentucky. Our shelter supports animal control and when space allows, owner surrenders. We utilize foster homes and rescues to house our dogs in addition to the kennels in our shelter. We make every effort to place our dogs in responsible loving homes.
