My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Major and I am an adorable little boy at just six months old. Some people say that my photographs make me look older than I am and bigger than I am but really I’m only 30 pounds  soaking wet!

I like being a puppy. One of the volunteers here loves to hold me and cuddle me and cradle me and I just melt in her arms when she does it. I am doing pretty good on my leash training and I really like engaging in my puppy dog lessons. I love people, and I love learning!

I also love my puppy and my dog friends. I’m really good at is wrestling and playing and chasing and romping. I love my play sessions with dog friends and human kids too! I absolutely adore babies and had a foster home with a sweet baby and I matched that sweet baby's happy and innocent energy. In foster care I was great around the kids and knew just how to behave. My foster family said I was the best puppy and that I learned so well and they loved having me. Now they went on vacation so I'm living at Desert Haven again until I get adopted. I hope I get adopted pretty soon! I'm really meant for a home and family and to be in the middle of everything. I will compliment a family perfectly!

When people are around, I always want to snuggle right into their lap and fall asleep. I'll lay in someone's lap and keep myself busy chewing on a stick. Do you have one? A lap? A stick? I'll take both! When you come to visit me I’m going to nestle right into your lap and I will also show you how I am the Branch Manager of Dogtown at Desert Haven. Ha ha ha! Fortunately there's no shortage of sticks around here and there is most certainly no shortage of love in these parts. Swing by Desert Haven, I dare you not to fall in love with little ole me! Can’t wait!

Love you! Major
