My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Atticus! I'm a friendly little chap with long gray fur and a button nose. My looks are quite endearing but it's really my heart that is the best part about me, in my estimation. I have a mighty big heart in my petite 7 month old body (I'm 7 months old as of June 2024). Sit back, grab a coffee, and let me tell you the story of how I came to be living at Desert Haven. I was born into a way-too-many-cats-in-the-house home where I didn't get much attention at all. Do you know about those kinds of houses? I certainly became excellent at living with other pets that's for sure! That's the silver lining. Probably because I have this gorgeous gray-silver fur, I like to find silver linings in everything. Anyway, I was competing for attention with all those other cats and kittens (and dogs) and losing out on getting attention because of my shy feelings. So because I missed out on getting good and socialized with a variety of people I now am a little tentative when I meet new people. It happens. No biggie! Enter Desert Haven to save the day! I was discovered and helped by the good people at Desert Haven Animal Rescue. I've now gotten all my vaccinations, I'm healthy, and I'm neutered. And I'm also getting that socializing I always dreamed about getting! And now my mighty big heart keeps me getting braver and braver and I realize how much I crave people! I am already super great at being playful and loving and adorable and now we're adding affectionate to my long list of positive attributes. Ready to take me to the next level of being lovey-dovey? Awesome, let's do this! Love, Atticus
