My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack is a striking black and white cat with a personality as captivating as his looks. With his classic tuxedo coat and bright, inquisitive eyes, he's sure to steal your heart and become the center of your world.

Jack is a 2-year-old gentleman who loves to engage in playtime adventures. Whether he's chasing after feather toys, batting at crinkly balls, or just exploring new corners of his environment, Jack brings an enthusiastic spirit to every activity. He's also a master of the art of relaxation-when playtime is over, you'll find him lounging comfortably in a sunny spot, purring contentedly.

Personality Traits:

Affectionate: Jack has a knack for making you feel loved. He enjoys curling up next to you, and he'll happily purr and nuzzle his way into your lap.

Playful: He's full of energy and loves interactive toys that stimulate his sharp mind and nimble paws.

Curious: Jack's inquisitive nature means he's always on the lookout for new things to explore, making every day with him an adventure.

Ideal Home:

Jack would thrive in a home where he gets plenty of attention and stimulation. He's a sociable guy and would likely do well with a family that can provide him with the love and engagement he craves. While he's adaptable, Jack might prefer a home where he can be the center of attention, so he may be best as the only cat, or with a feline friend who matches his playful energy.

Health & Wellness:

Jack is in excellent health, up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He has a clean bill of health and is ready to start his new chapter with a loving family.

Why Jack?

Jack isn't just a cat; he's a companion who will add joy, laughter, and warmth to your life. His playful antics and affectionate nature make him an ideal pet for anyone looking to add a loving feline friend to their home.

If you're ready to welcome a charming, spirited, and loving cat into your life, Jack is waiting to meet you. Come meet this handsome tuxedo kitty and see if you're the perfect match for him!

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is designed with the pet and the family in mind. We look to make the process as easy and efficient as possible for our adopters, while also preserving the key safeguards that ensure we place our kitties with loving homes they can be sure to stay with forever. Sometimes we may ask for a virtual home visit via video or FaceTime to gain more insight into what kind of kitty will best fit your lifestyle and environment.

Go meet their pets

Friends of Normie is an entirely foster based rescue so all of our adoptable cats reside with their foster families who are located across Orange, LA, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. We have a kitty for every family and locale, so we will work to match you with a feline friend who matches both your desires and your location.

More about this rescue

It all started in 2020 when Friends of Normie founder Ladan Davia found a mother cat and six kittens on the side of the road. All of the shelters and rescues she called in hopes of ensuring this feline family’s safety told her to leave them outside or that they were at capacity. So Ladan went to her local hardware store, bought a trap, and set up a makeshift shelter for the seven cats in her bathroom.

Through the local cat network Ladan got connected to Marla, a rescuer with 25 years of rescue experience. Together, they rescued thousands of cats over the next two years, setting the foundation for what Friends of Normie is today. Without a physical facility, Marla and Ladan utilized a network of committed volunteer fosters to give new rescues temporary, loving homes until they were adopted. Along the way, FON harnessed the power of social media to mobilize the Southern California cat community.

This community began to gain traction as more and more people began following its journey. Today, Friends of Normie has over 40,000 followers who support the rescue and collectively help cats get matched with fosters and adopters quickly.
