My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jack is a dapper, tuxedo-clad gentleman who is ready to waltz into your heart and home. This charming 2-year-old has a striking black and white coat. His sleek fur and bright eyes add to his sophisticated charm.

Jack's personality is as delightful as his appearance. He's a playful spirit who enjoys interactive toys and games that keep him engaged and active. Whether it's chasing a feather wand or pouncing on a laser pointer, Jack is always up for some fun. When he's not busy playing, he loves to curl up in cozy spots and enjoy some well-deserved cat naps.

Despite his playful nature, Jack is also a loving and affectionate companion. He has a soft spot for gentle pets and will purr contentedly as he nuzzles into your lap. His friendly demeanor makes him a great candidate for families, singles, or anyone looking for a devoted feline friend.

Jack is also quite curious and loves exploring his surroundings. He's an intelligent cat who enjoys problem-solving and discovering new things. His inquisitive nature means he'll always be on the lookout for new adventures, whether it's a hidden treat or a cozy new spot to rest.

What Jack Needs:

Jack would thrive in a home where he can get plenty of interactive playtime and mental stimulation. He's a social cat and would enjoy having a human companion who can spend quality time with him. If you have other pets, Jack is likely to adjust well with proper introductions.

Why Jack?

Jack is more than just a pretty face; he's a bundle of joy and love. His affectionate nature and playful personality make him a perfect addition to any loving home. If you're looking for a feline friend who will bring warmth, laughter, and companionship into your life, Jack is your guy!

Come meet Jack today and discover just how wonderful life can be with this lovable tuxedo cat by your side.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is designed with the pet and the family in mind. We look to make the process as easy and efficient as possible for our adopters, while also preserving the key safeguards that ensure we place our kitties with loving homes they can be sure to stay with forever. Sometimes we may ask for a virtual home visit via video or FaceTime to gain more insight into what kind of kitty will best fit your lifestyle and environment.

Go meet their pets

Friends of Normie is an entirely foster based rescue so all of our adoptable cats reside with their foster families who are located across Orange, LA, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties. We have a kitty for every family and locale, so we will work to match you with a feline friend who matches both your desires and your location.

More about this rescue

It all started in 2020 when Friends of Normie founder Ladan Davia found a mother cat and six kittens on the side of the road. All of the shelters and rescues she called in hopes of ensuring this feline family’s safety told her to leave them outside or that they were at capacity. So Ladan went to her local hardware store, bought a trap, and set up a makeshift shelter for the seven cats in her bathroom.

Through the local cat network Ladan got connected to Marla, a rescuer with 25 years of rescue experience. Together, they rescued thousands of cats over the next two years, setting the foundation for what Friends of Normie is today. Without a physical facility, Marla and Ladan utilized a network of committed volunteer fosters to give new rescues temporary, loving homes until they were adopted. Along the way, FON harnessed the power of social media to mobilize the Southern California cat community.

This community began to gain traction as more and more people began following its journey. Today, Friends of Normie has over 40,000 followers who support the rescue and collectively help cats get matched with fosters and adopters quickly.
