Tesla is a kitten in cat (though a small cat) form. She is incredibly playful, energetic, and curious. She loves to play, by herself with toys, with people, or with other cats. She also really likes to explore and she will get EVERYWHERE. She is very curious and has no qualms about trying to get into every nook, corner, shelf, closet, cupboard, and more in her explorations. She really should have a cat friend to play with as she has a lot of energy to expend and she will be vocal if she is bored. Once she gets to know them she also seems to just really like other cats. If she gets enough playtime she is good but if she doesn’t she will be pretty vocal, including at night and in the morning. She is also very curious about the outside so you have to be very careful she does not sneak out an open door or window.
When she is not playing she likes to sit high in the cat tree and to look out windows. She likes to be where people are and will often follow you everywhere so closely you have to be careful not to trip on her. She is not a lap cat and she does not like to be held but she loves to be with you and to get pets and scratches. She will cuddle against you if you’re sitting on a couch or lying down and she will sit on the table/desk beside you while you work (trying to climb onto your computer to get more attention of course).
Tesla is on a small daily dose of steroids to deal with a skin condition. Before the meds she would get hairless patches that she would scratch to infection. Since she started the meds they have cleared up completely. She needs to be on this medication permanently and it cannot be stopped suddenly so any changes need to be consulted with a vet. The meds are crushed and put into some wet food which she eats without issue.
Tesla is a bit hesitant with new places, people, or cats so needs a bit of a slow introduction but within a few days to a week she is generally quite comfortable and becomes her crazy curious self. Tesla is very cute and her antics are pretty fun and adorable. As long as she gets enough playtime she is very easygoing. She does try to get into everything so that’s something to be aware of. Tesla would love a forever home with another friendly kitty to play with.

Additional adoption info
Adoption fee is $200 per adult cat, and $250 for kittens (under 8 months old).
This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!
Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $200.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $150 per cat vs. $200 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
