In Greek mythology, Persephone is queen of the underworld, but she's also the goddess of springtime, vegetation and agriculture. This is so fitting, because our Persephone has overcome her past demons and has blossomed beautifully!

She came to us from living in a home with 40+ other animals, including her own puppies and her buddy Nezuko, who is also with us. In fact, Persephone adores Nez! They helped each other learn how to be dogs and got each other through complications after their spay surgeries. Persephone is a 3ish-year-old coonhound mix who is friendly, happy, exuberant, adventurous and vocal when she wants to say hello. She's learning more and more and getting more confident as each day passes. She's choosy about dog friends and requests a meet and greet with any potential canine siblings. Cats wouldn't be a great fit. She lived with kids in her previous home and we were told she adored them. Persephone is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines.
