Take the Pet Home
”Hi, I’m Josephine. I need a quiet home without a lot of strangers coming and going. I will hide for the first couple of weeks when I’m someplace new. Then I like my special person for pets and some social contact. I love canned food, but will still eat a little bit of dry food too. I love lickable cat treats in a tube. I will also chase jingle balls and play with string toys when I get comfortable. I will typically “pancake” near my person when I get scared.”
Josephine is a shy girl who is still learning to trust her surroundings. She appreciates gentle and patient interactions as she gets to know you. Fully litterbox trained, Josephine is a low-maintenance addition to any home. She does well with other cats and can often be found quietly observing or sitting in her favorite cat tree watching out the window. Josephine would thrive in a calm and loving environment where she can feel safe and gradually come out of her shell. A household with other cats might help her feel more comfortable and confident.
Josephine is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract.
To learn more about Ruff Start’s adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page.
If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
