Rey, also known as Rachel, is a female Boston Terrier with a sweet and affectionate nature. She currently struggles with some anxiety and is a bit scared of a few things, including car rides and being outside. When frightened, she tends to freeze, drool, or even vomit. Rey is not comfortable with leashes yet and often needs to be carried when outside the home.
Despite her fears, Rey comes to life when she's with other dogs, showing her playful and fun personality. She enjoys playing with stuffed animals and loves to shred them if left alone. Rey is not much of a chewer when it comes to harder toys or bones.
It's important for Rey's future family to know that she feels safer in small spaces rather than having access to the entire house at first. She may get stuck in rooms if she perceives obstacles in her way and struggles to get off furniture, even with platforms or ramps available. Rey does best in a home with other dogs, as she looks to them for security and support. While she is tolerant of humans touching and grooming her, she remains nervous and standoffish. With patience and a gentle approach, Rey is slowly starting to warm up to her foster family, sometimes even greeting them when they approach her. She would thrive in a calm and understanding environment with other canine companions.

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (7 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
