My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Mayor!

Major was dumped about 6 months ago.  When we got him, he was literally skin hanging on bones.  He was not neutered, heartworm positive, and very weak.

Melanie Merritt, our hound foster, jumped in and introduced him to her pack and he fit right in.  Major has gained 20 pounds, been treated for heartworms ( he is now negative!), been neutered, and is up-to-date on his shots.  He is 2 to 3 year old, loves other people and dogs, and is still very much a puppy.  Mayor is an energetic boy and is also housebroken.

Mayor would love a home with other dogs, and a yard to play in.  He has not been cat tested.

If you are interested in this big mush boy, please fill out an application at aylasacres.org.  Thank you!

Additional adoption info

We don't have a facility, so we screen applicants thoroughly before we set up a meet and greet. We conduct a vet check, reference check and a home check. We typical set up the meet at the adoptive home so the home check can be completed at the same time. If both parties agree the pup is a good fit we complete the adoption agreement and accept the adoption fee.
