Meet Taos! On first impressions, Taos may be shy, but will be a quick learner. Making friends can be so hard and scary, but Taos promises to always give it his best shot! He working hard to master his basic manners and house training, and is even giving crate training the good ol' college try. When summer rolls around, he's almost surely destined to enjoy water sports, if you happen to have a wading pool or splash pond he'll be all-in (literally). Taos loves to go for walks and does well on a leash, and loves playing with other dogs. His favorite way to keep busy is with a squeaky toy and tennis ball-- he'll happily chew on one all day! When it's time to hop in the car, Taos will be revving to go on the next adventure! He's not so keen on being left home alone (no fun!!), so he may need some help feeling comfy and safe when being left behind. Taos can't wait to find a patient family to shower him with love and help him blossom into his best self. Come visit him today!

Adoptable animals are located at our Taft Campus at 2200 N Taft Hill Rd, Fort Collins, CO 80524 or for more info call 970-484-8516.

The first step to adopting a cat or dog from Animal Friends Alliance is to fill out an adoption questionnaire. You can do this online!

The next step is to pick out a cat or dog! Check out our adoptable cats and adoptable dogs for pictures and short descriptions or come into the shelter at our Taft Hill campus. We also have adoptable cats at many offsite locations.

Note: not all available cats and dogs reside at our campuses. Some are at off-site adoption partners or in foster homes. If you are interested in a particular cat or dog, please call our shelter at (970) 484-8516 to find out about their current status and location.

We do not ship animals. You are required to come and meet your new addition prior to adoption so that we can ensure a good match.

Please note that we will make a copy of the adopters’ State ID card, Driver’s License or passport at the time of adoption.

Our spay/neuter clinic performs surgeries on both cats & dogs, and we also offer low-cost vaccination clinics every week.

Our organization's goal is to do everything in our power to prevent euthanasia due to 'homelessness'.
