My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Slinky, a 2-year-old pit mix, and I'm ready to find my forever home! I may have come from animal control, but I'm not letting that slow me down. I've got plenty of energy and a love for life that's hard to beat. If you're looking for a buddy who's up for anything-whether it's running, playing, or just hanging out by the water-I'm your guy!

I'm super friendly, but sometimes when people come at me a little too fast, I get a bit unsure. Don't worry, though, I warm up quickly, and once we're friends, we're friends for life! I've met all kinds of people, including kids as young as 7, and I did great with them. Dogs? Love them. Wildlife? No problem, I don't chase. I'm a pretty chill guy once the introductions are done. I know commands like "sit, so I'm already working on my manners-and with some positive reinforcement, I'll be the most polite pup around!

I'm all about the water, too! Whether it's a puddle or a pond, if there's water, I'm in it. And running? Oh boy, I could do that all day. I'm a high-energy dog, but I channel all that into fun and friendly encounters with everyone I meet. So, if you're looking for an adventurous, loyal, and sweet pup who just wants to share his joy with you, then look no further-Slinky's your guy!
