Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Pearl is a cream tri-colored skinny. She was originally purchased by an employee at the Grand Forks Petco. Through mutual contacts the employee found our rescue and offered Pearl to us, as she was no longer able to care for her due to various life reasons.
Before she came to us, Pearl had two litters of babies for unknown reasons, but we assume they were accidental.
Pearl is required to be housed alone, as she is very aggressive with other Guinea pigs. She hisses and lunges, biting and doing the “piggy tornado”. This girl is tougher than she looks!
Pearl loves wheeking loudly for her treats, hay, and veggies. She also loves soft and cozy places to sleep like her “taco” shaped bed, and any fleece pockets. It’s important for this naked lady to stay warm!
Pearl is easy to pick up, and doesn’t mind being held! She is great with humans, but not so great with other pigs.
Pearl would do well in a home where she is the only pig, or living as a neighbor to other Guinea pigs. She doesn’t seem to notice her current piggy neighbors at her foster home, but is the first to initiate the wheeking choir during veggie time.
We can meet within 1 hour of Minneapolis or Lakeville MN for adoptions. Potentially further- please inquire and we can discuss!
