My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frenchie is a handsome 2-month old male kitten who was brought to the HSOV on May 7, 2024 by a Good Samaritan who found him on Lee Street in Belpre Ohio. Frenchie was accompanied by his two brothers (Billy Butcher and Hughie) and his little sister (Kimiko).

Frenchie has a black longhaired coat with a small patch of white on his chest, a long fluffy tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.

Frenchie and his siblings were understandably a bit frightened when they first came to our shelter and huddled together to comfort each other. But they soon realized they were in a good place with kind kennel techs who already loved them, and they quickly became playful happy youngsters.

Frenchie was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on May 8, 2024. He weighed 1.3 lbs that day. Frenchie was given booster vaccines on May 25, 2024.

Sadly, his little brother Billy Butcher did not survive and passed away on June 16th. Frenchie, Hughie, and Kimiko remained together and were 'The Three Musketeers".

Frenchie was neutered on June 25, 2024 and was also given rabies vaccine. He weighed 3.9 lbs that day.

These photos were taken on July 5, 2024 shortly before Frenchie, Hughie, and Kimiko made their first public debuts (smile). They had become 'social butterflies' and were chosen to participate in the First Friday event in downtown Marietta Ohio on July 5, 2024. Thanks to HSOV Volunteer Wendy Irvin who accompanied them that evening. Wendy was like a proud parent as she watched these three little ones. Frenchie, Hughie and Kimiko were wonderful goodwill ambassadors who loved attention from everyone (including children), and they were ok with several HSOV dogs who also shared the limelight.

Frenchie was adopted on July 9, 2024 and is living a dream life with his new family.
