Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Kismet is a 2-year-old neutered male, black/white mixed breed, he’s been called a border collie mix and a lab mix but he is 100% gorgeous. He weighs around 45 pounds and is UTD on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventative for heartworm and flea/tick.
Kismet was hours from being euthanized due to high anxiety and being nervous and stressed. We were able to pull him and get him into our care and although he was very shy, and confused, he came out of his shell very quickly. His demeanor is more that he needs to get to know you a little first but once he
deems you “ok” his personality shines. He very much loves to play with toys, and he thrives on being right next to his person. If ever there was a loyal dog, Kismet is exactly that. His intelligence is off the charts, and we believe the training ability for just the basics will be an easy chore as he is food motivated, except milk bones, he isn’t interested in those. He does know “sit” and so was trained at some point, but we think he would be a perfect companion.
He is a sweet boy and gets along well with all his foster dogs that he is with. He is far too interested in cats so we feel he would be best in a home without cats as it is hard to determine if he wants to play or has more on his mind, siding with caution. He is great in a kennel but overall does great outside the kennel. He is housebroken to the degree that he has a routine now that works so it would just be setting a new routine, and he will get that pretty quickly.
This handsome boy with soulful eyes is available now for adoption so if you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $375 to cover some of his vetting costs.
