My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kevin is a 2-year-old neutered male, around 50 pounds, black/white Siberian husky possibly some malamute as well. He is UTD on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventative for heartworm and flea/tick.

Kevin was hours from being euthanized due to high anxiety and being nervous and stressed. We were able to pull him and get him into our care. Kevin did exhibit extremely nervous behavior the first few hours we had him but that has subsided, and he is settling in great in his foster home with the resident dogs. With Kevin being a husky, we prefer finding him a home that is familiar with the traits that huskies are known for. Huskies can be escape artists and quite rambunctious but we can say that Kevin is a much chiller husky than we have seen with others. He does well on a leash and doesn’t seem to pull all that much. He is very intelligent, however, those that know this breed know that they are extremely stubborn and very vocal about their opinions so if you speak husky, this guy is for you! He doesn’t seem to be interested in food or treats; he is a diva in a dog suit so is somewhat picky about what he is offered.

He is a sweet boy and gets along well with all his foster dogs but the resident husky, being a husky, is too stubborn to play nice so far, even though Keven really wants to be his friend, so that’s not due to him not trying. He also seems quite interested in cats but he may just need guidance on how to interact with
them, it is hard to determine if he would be ok in a house with cats. He is ok in a kennel but he seems to feel nervous and walks in circles so that is no doubt due to being in the shelter environment. We are still working on the housebreaking but it hasn’t been to the degree that he has accidents often, very few since he arrived, actually.

This gorgeous with mesmerizing eyes is available now for adoption so if you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $375 to cover some of his vetting costs.

More about this rescue

Max Raven Animal Rescue is a no-kill, non-profit, foster-based animal rescue. Our mission is to save lives and rescue animals in Nebraska and surrounding states with urgent rescue needs. We strive to create a safe and loving environment for discarded and special needs animals.

Our goal is to go from a strictly foster-based rescue to expanding our home base to an acreage, to further our vision of building a sanctuary for animals deemed unadoptable. Giving them a safe and loving home to live out the rest of their days in the care of Max Raven Animal Rescue. We want to provide a happy and loving home for all the animals that come across our path and do our due diligence to save as many animals as possible from euthanasia.

Max Raven Animal Rescue is a nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization.
