Charlie is an 8-month-old neutered male, chocolate lab, around 60 pounds. He is UTD on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on preventative for heartworm and flea/tick.
Charlie was surrendered to some nice people who wanted to find a good option for him and came into our care. Charlie came to us very high-energy and high-strung. His foster mom has been working with him to help teach him manners and learn proper ways to expend his energy. He has been getting on well with the resident dogs, but his poor manners and energy level was received with some scolding from his foster pups to get him to calm the heck down. With Charlie being so high strung and in need of proper training, we prefer finding him a family/person that is willing to invest some time helping him be his best self. Due to his very large size now, he will grow much bigger, so we feel in order to set him up for success, he needs that training now. He is very loyal to his person so does have great recall and only wants to be a good dog for his person. His leash skills at this point leave much to be desired and his weight paired with his energy level requires a strong person holding onto him. He is extremely intelligent and has a lot of potential with the right person to teach him the rules.
He is a sweet boy and is now getting along well with all his foster. He has not been cat tested as his foster does not have cats. He is doing well in a kennel and is housebroken.
This handsome and energetic boy is available now for adoption so if you are interested in adopting him, please fill out an adoption application. His adoption fee is $375 to cover some of his vetting costs.
