Hi friends, I’m the lovable Tank, a very sociable and friendly dog. I enjoy meeting new friends
and love rolling over and having my belly rubbed. I’m very affectionate and outgoing. Throw a ball and I’m your new best friend. I have great manners, and walk well on a leash, you just need to remind me not to pull when I get super excited. I’m also a pro at “sit” and “come”.
Making new friends fills me with joy. I thrive on attention and I am incredibly laid-back
and easy going. I’m a sweet gentleman who adores my fenced-in backyard but also relishes a
pleasant walk on a leash. I’m well-mannered and love sitting by your side. One of my cherished
pastimes is burying my ball in the sand at the beach. I make a great travel partner as car rides have a soothing effect on me, often sending me straight to sleep.
I'm motivated by food and thankfully I am gaining weight. I lost 30 pounds while I was in the shelter. The veterinarian indicated that my health conditions were the reason for the weight loss. I’m receiving treatment for my heartworm and Lyme.The heartworms have caused me to have an enlarged heart. My heartworm treatment will be completed by mid-September. I’ve also been diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy which will cause me to lose my eyesight within the next 1-2 years but will adapt well.
Despite a challenging start, I am incredibly sweet and affectionate. I imagine the comfort of belly rubs and the gentle care from a companion. Could your home be the ideal place for a devoted companion like myself?
