Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
We rescued our beloved Penny (whippet/hound mix) 6 years ago when she was ~1 year old. Her early history is unknown, but she has become a wonderful companion. Personality: Shy around tall men with hats but warms up quickly. Extremely affectionate/goofy; LOVES to cuddle. Energy: Medium. When she’s not relaxing, she loves to play, go on walks and chase laser lights. Training: Good on leash (needs reminders around other dogs); Crate-trained; Knows many commands (occasionally pretends she doesn’t hear!); Will learn more tricks for treats!; Great car companion; Excellent watchdog. Health: Spayed, up to date monthly flea/tick/heart worm medications; She has skin allergies but has responded well to immunotherapy. Care for her skin is now minimal. Penny’s ideal home is an active one with no small children; a home that loves hiking/long walks and snuggling; a home where Penny is the center of attention and gets lots of love/cuddles.
