Introducing BASIL, a 9mo/50lb female Alaskan Husky. This ploofy-tailed Princess is an affectionate and super smart girl who was clearly well-loved but is now in search of a furever home that will provide her with the love and stability she so deserves. Basil has shown that with a proper introduction, she is likely dog and cat-friendly - she is currently co-kenneled with another dog and has shown no prey-drive tendencies with the resident shelter cats. She has excellent leash manners, knows her basic commands, including `shake`, and is a big snuggler. CHECK OUT HER VIDEO and please come meet Basil today!
Basil also went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 8/31! Here is what they had to say! `Started off our adventure visiting our friend at the Cal Auto Museum. Then we visited our friends at 3rd Street Barbell. Took a drive to Citrus Heights and did a mile walk. Then went all the way to Northlake and did a 2 mile walk around the lake. We took an hour long rest in the Car. Basil got to hop in the front seat and got all the A/C vents pointed at her. She knocked out and slept the whole hour until we waited for our friend to get off of work. We then got pup cups and Taco Bell!`
