Hello, I`m Sunset. I am a 5 year old, 42#, female, APBT mix. I`ve got a heart full of sweetness and a mind brimming with curiosity. I`m the independent type, but that doesn`t mean I don`t crave companionship. I`m gentle, mellow, and loyal to a fault. I love exploring new places, sniffing out hidden treasures, and finding the perfect sunny spot for a nap. I`m always ready for some good neck scratches or a quiet moment together. I`m looking for a forever home where I can be my gentle, mellow self. Adopting me means you`ll have a loyal companion who will love you unconditionally. I`m ready to make your life a little brighter. We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment ONLY. If you are interested in adopting, please contact us via email at jcas@co.johnson.in.us or call 317-738-6090 during regular business hours. We will happily help get an application to you. Once an application is submitted and approved, we can contact you to set an appointment to meet the pet!

Our adoption fee is $150.00 for dogs, $75 for kittens under 6 months of age and $50 for all cats 6 months and older. This will include a rabies vaccination (if age appropriate), spay or neuter, a microchip with registration, and all other age appropriate vaccinations.

More about this shelter

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
