Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Kate came into the shelter on July 16th found running loose in the city limits of Alpine. Kate's owner was contacted but unfortunately never came to reclaim her. Kate was adopted from the shelter previously back in 2020 from this shelter. Kate does great with people and some other dogs, she has done very well in a group with Tank and Tigger who are 2 very large, male, pittie mixes. We were not sure at first how she would do with other dogs because she tends to act overly excited about them when there is a gate between them. She is a rough and rowdy player, so we suggest, if she does go into a home with another dog, that they match her energy, she wants to rough house! It's actually a blast to watch too. Kate does great on a leash especially when she is away from the hustle and bustle of the shelter. She seems to be potty trained; she keeps her kennel very clean and waits to be let out. Minimal potty training for this gal in her new home, she will likely do fantastic with a routine. Kate loves her treats so if you come to visit make sure to bring her one! Come see her at the Alpin Animal Services Shelter, 2900 Old Marathon Hwy Alpine, TX 79830.
