Meet Tortellini! Tortellini (or, as his foster family calls him, "Cutie") is an older gentleman but he still has a lot of spark and LOADS of love to give. This precious little guy weighs about ten pounds, is likely a Chihuahua-Dachshund mix, and is estimated to be around ten years old. He has had a very rough life leading up to this point, and hard living can make a dog age more quickly, so it's possible he's closer to 8-ish. Regardless, we are going to get this sweetheart fixed up so that he can find the loving home he deserves! Tortellini is scheduled to see the vet to evaluate any health issues he may have due to neglect - the main one being his severe dental disease. His breath is s-o-o-o BAD! He will likely need to have some teeth pulled and antibiotics to clear up infection, but he'll feel so much better afterwards. Despite his past, Tortellini has the absolute sweetest disposition. He loves everyone he meets - immediately - and has never met a stranger (kids and other dogs included)! Tortellini wants to be close to someone all the time. He LOVES to LOVE. And he's not done loving yet... if you've got a lap to share with this middle-aged sweet pea, submit an application. Tortellini has waited many years to find a forever family that will return his love like he deserves. This boy is simply wonderful!

More about this rescue
We are a small but determined group of animal lovers in the Wichita area. We rescue dogs from the local shelters and accept dogs that owners relinquish for adoption. We do our best to ensure that all adopters are willing and able to provide a safe and healthy home for the life of the dogs they adopt. We do this because it needs to be done.
