My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Introducing Nova, a true diva in every sense!

Nova commands attention wherever she goes; with her regal presence and striking features. With a bit of an attitude, she knows she's the queen of the castle and will remind you of it, Often!

Though she may strut around with an air of sass, don't let her diva demeanor fool you. Nova is super friendly when the mood strikes her, often surprising her humans with spontaneous head bumps or cuddle sessions. Nova knows how to make her loved ones feel special, on her terms, of course!

Nova enjoys her alone time to bask in sunbeams and survey her kingdom but she is always ready to showcase her playful side. Whether its chasing a feather toy or giving the good ole laser pointer a run for its money, she is sure to entertain you with her playful stunts.

Nova thrives best in a solo setting, as she prefers to be the only animal in the house hold. Sharing her spotlight with other animals is simply not on her agenda! Nova is seeking a home where she can be pampered, adored, and treated like the royalty she believes herself to be.

If you are looking for a sassy sidekick who knows her worth and can turn any ordinary day into a fabulous adventure, Nova is ready to claim her kingdom in your heart and home!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
