Meet Lucy!

Lucy is a 5yr old LabXBoxer. She’s spayed fully vaccinated (rabies is good for 3yrs) she has recently been vetted. She’s not good with other animals of any kind, but loves people and lives with kids. She comes with all her belongings, crate, food, dog bed, leashes, collars, harness blankets, toys and more. Just needs a home where she’s the only pet and people in the home understand not all dogs want to socialize with other dogs and shouldn’t have to. She’s not a big fan of having hands in her food dish and we’ve been working on this she’s making progress, she can resource guard really yummy/fun things but is always willing to “give up” what she has for a tasty dried piece of chicken breast!! She’s obsessed with water and Loves to swim (she would swim all day if you let her and does come with her little doggy pool) and Loves to play ball but mostly keep away lol.

She has lots of energy for hiking and biking and is always up for an adventure, but will also cuddle up on her dog bed for a good snooze on chill days.

Once your application is submitted and approved for the dog you are interested in, someone will call you to start the adoption process

IF YOU CAN NOT SUBMIT AN APPLICATION ON OUR SITE PLEASE EMAIL US AT: questions@awishforanimals.org and we will send you an application.

ADOPTION FEE*: Fees vary due to costs put into them, but START at $400 for adults and $500 for puppies.

The adoption fee is for the adoption of the pet. We make sure that our animals are or will be spayed/neutered, receive the proper vaccines and are microchipped and we cover the cost for that if it's not already done before you adopt.

More about this rescue

A Wish for Animals is an all volunteer run organization trying to help as many homeless animals as possible. We work tirelessly to help these animals become adoptable and work hard to find the them the right match so that you can enjoy your pet for the rest of its' life.

During Covid we have been inundated with applications, so please be patient with us as we all work full time as well and are doing our best to care for our animals and find the right homes for them.
