Meet Paramore!
This brave 2-year-old Wheaten Terrier has come a long way in her foster home and is now ready to find her forever family!
Coming from a puppy mill where she was used for breeding, Paramore was initially very shy. But with time and love, she’s blossoming and gaining confidence every day. While she still needs a patient, experienced owner who can give her the space and time to decompress and build trust, we couldn't be more pleased with her progress!
Lately, she’s turned a huge corner! She’s now approaching her foster family for pets and snuggles, and has claimed her favorite spot on the couch—right by her foster mom’s feet, where she loves to give kisses.
Paramore absolutely loves other dogs and takes her cues from her pack, so we’re looking for a home with at least one other balanced dog to help her continue building confidence. She especially adores bigger dogs and loves to start playful wrestling matches!
As her confidence grows, her playful Terrier side is coming out. She’s even started cheekily stealing her foster’s yarn balls and dashing off for a fun game of chase!
Paramore is a sweet, wonderful girl who just needs a little patience and a loving home to thrive. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special girl, she’ll repay you with endless love. Continued training with Green Dogs Unleashed will be required to be considered for adoption.

We are happy to consider applicants from out of state on most dogs. Please read the description to see if this dog is an exception. If the applicant is approved to adopt, they MUST be willing to come to our location in Troy, VA, for a meet and greet. If all parties agree that the pup and family are a good fit, they would take the pup home at that time.

GDU does ask a minimum adoption fee of $400.00. This does not even come close to covering all expenses created by animals while in rescue. We are funded solely by the angels and volunteers willing to donate time and finances. This minimum fee includes DAPP, rabies if age appropriate,, heartworm test and preventative, if age appropriate, and flea and tick treatment, as well as neutering or spaying, if the animal is medically sound to undergo surgery. In an attempt to avoid tummy upset from a sudden change of food, the foster family may include a small, transitional bag of the food the dog/puppy has been eating. And if the dog/puppy has grown attached to a special item (like a toy or blanket), they may send that along, as well.
