Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
You'll want to go to the moon and back for this awesome Anatolian shepherd mix! She's a year old and 48 pounds of tender-loving goodness.
Just one look into Moon's endearing eyes and you'll see just how much she longs for connection. When first arriving at GLDR, a lot scared her so thankfully she's with an amazing foster family that is helping her build her confidence and enjoy being a pup!
Since arriving in her foster home, Moon has been fully house-trained! Not a single accident and she will go to the door to let you know she needs to go outside. She is a little timid when meeting new people, but warms up quickly. Moon enjoys her plush toys and will carry them with her around the house. When it comes time for treats, she enjoys a little bit of cream cheese in her kong as well as other meaty treats. Her foster family is able to take both toys and food away with no issue.
Moon loves spending time in the yard and visiting with other pups. She enjoys rolling around in the grass and will gladly take a dip in the kiddie pool! She's good on her leash and her leash skills have improved so much since in her foster. Moon will thrive with continued training, routine, and socialization along with daily exercise.
Moon is learning many commands including "come, sit, and down". She does very well in the car and is ready to join you on all of your adventures! At the end of the day, Moon sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, thankful for the time with her foster family.
Based on our assessment, we feel Moon would do well in an active, but predictable home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. She may have the ability to live in a home with other animals. She tends to find comfort with other dogs and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby.
If you're looking for a true connection with a canine companion, give Moon a chance! Please visit greatlakesdogrescue.com today to fill out an application for our marvelous Moon!
