Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Frannie
Frannie is about 3-4 years old and weighs 85 lbs. She is such a sweet and amazing friend to have around the house and to lean on, seriously she loves to be hugged and kissed. Frannie can be a wee bit shy at first around new people at first but she warms up quickly with the help of treats and love.
Frannie is SO easy going and pretty darn low-maintenance!! She is the perfect companion for someone in search for a dog to be a walking/hiking buddy but also has an off-switch too. You can certainly count on Frannie to be laid back and lounge around the house when you need her to but she’s always up and ready when you are and will be right by your side to take on the world. She LOVES going for walks and looks forward to her morning and evening stroll. She walks beautifully on leash. With that said, she’s super attentive to you, responds well to instructions or corrections, and strives to please if she starts to pull or sees a rabbit.
Frannie gets along with other dogs and will start to play with them once she gets to know them more. Frannie is fine with cats too.
Her favorite thing is YOU and she loves to be around you whenever you’re home. She loves to play a game of “paws and kisses” (she gives you her paw and you give her lots of kisses), getting lots belly rubs and hugs!
Frannie is completely house trained, completely crate trained, rides good in the car, and once again walks amazing on leash. She respects furniture and boundaries. She knows sit, down, wait, release, and give me paw. She rarely ever barks and does not have any separation anxiety and is happy to wait for you in the home, crate, or dedicated area of the house until you return without problem. Frannie, however, can easily clear over a 7 foot fence without touching it (and even taller by jumping on it) so with this said she does require someone who fully understands that she CANNOT NEVER BE LEFT ALONE IN THE BACKYARD or she will go exploring without inviting you, so she needs someone with a little extra time in their schedule and knowledge to ensure she does not ever be left outside unattended… Thankfully she does not linger in the back for too long and goes to go right back inside after she’s done her business, though she prefers going on walks! This is only an issue if you LEAVE her in the backyard to her own devices. When in the house alone, she's perfectly.
Frannie is incredible and such a sweet, loving, and affectionate dog!! We absolutely love her and she's got a lifetime of love and companionship to give! She's the perfect, easy going, walking buddy and work from home desk-dog (she's under the desk being a foot warmer/unofficial emotional support dog as we type all this now!)
