My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Paris is currently in foster care and available to meet you via virtual meet and greet. To begin the process, please submit an adoption survey and the team will reach out via email with next steps (please check spam). For any additional questions, please contact fosternyc@bestfriends.org.

Introducing Paris! This 10-year-old dilute calico female is ready to meet you and settle in with her new family. Paris is very sweet and gentle, with a loving disposition that will make her a wonderful addition to any home. She enjoys being pet , but appreciates a slow approach until she knows you. Once she is confident you are a friend , she is very affectionate. She gets along with other cats and will follow her person arond the home keeping them company. While she enjoys lounging, she also like toys , especially toys the chirp or make small sounds.

Her foster home is going well. They describe her as "floppy and playful". "At 48 hours she was curious, food motivated, and friendly. At 1 week she became more energetic, laying beside me, and asking to be pet. Now she is fully comfortable, voicing her needs, relaxing anywhere, and seeks attention. Her favorite activities are eating wet food, sleeping, being petted, and being brushed. I bought a catnip toy mouse yesterday and she went wild. It was the most active I've seen her in the past week. She come to stand next to me while I'm cooking and curls her tail around my leg. Paris is the perfect companion. I was worried about a cat spraying or not using the litter box or jumping on tables and knocking things over, but she is so sweet and calm and ready to hang"

Her fosters note that while she enjoys being pet , she does not like her belly to be touched. She loves sleeping and perching on various spots in the apartment. She enjoys chasing the feathers on the wire-and-stick cat toys. She is a very low maintenence cat and has excellent manners and is easy to care for. They say she is a very relaxing presence, with no worry leaving her by herself as she sleeps for a lot of the day. She likes to curl up next to them on the couch for cuddles and relaxing.

Paris is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed to ensure she is healthy and ready for her new home.
