I have been fostering Norman for the last two months. He came to me from a family that had some hardships and had to move across the country. It was an extremely emotional decision for them. My intent was to keep him but he really needs a family. His optimal situation will be a dog who can sleep inside at night but that isn't a requirement. If he can't come in at night he needs a large fenced in area that he can't escape from. Great Pyrenees are extremely smart and will find weak spots in fences that aren't sturdy. Norm is a great dog and absolutely loves people. He gets along with most dogs. The types of dogs he seems to not do well with are aggressive dogs and large dogs. I have never seen him react badly to dogs that approach him with good intentions.
I inherited Norman with an ear infection which he has seen a vet for a month ago and will need more meds for that soon.
