My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Loki is our little loverboy. At 11lbs, he`s a small slice of sweetie pie. He`s very shy at a first meeting, and needs a lot of time to get to know somebody, so he needs a home that will give him all of the love and patience he needs. Loki loves to be held, and will do a DEEP snuggle on your shoulder. He seems to do well with females more than males, but once he feels comfortable with you, Loki is an absolute heart-melter! The person who gives him a furever home will be lucky with Loki!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
