Hi, I'm Jellybean and I really live up to my name - small and sweet and you'll absolutely love me! This good girl is high energy, and I love to be by my person. I also love to play tug and fetch, so let's zoom around the backyard together! I'm a curious little gal so if you're cooking up something dreamy in the kitchen, I may just have to come check it out. I've been to training so I know how to sit, stay, and drop a toy. My new home should have lots of places for us to cuddle, but it can't have kids under 12 years old. I do well with dogs who mind their own business, but I'm not interested in living with them. I'm really more of a people person! If you are looking for a loyal little lady with a lot of love to give, apply to meet me today!

1.
Submit Application

Review our adoption process and complete our new online pet application. If you need assistance, call us or visit our Adoption Center!

2.
Approve Application

If you have had pets in the past 10 years, we will do a vet check and we will check with your landlord or HOA that you can have the pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

Once approved, everyone in your home will need to meet the pet. Also, any existing dog will need to meet a dog you want to adopt.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

We will ask you to sign an adoption contract and pay our adoption fee - a schedule of fees is on our website.

We have one Adoption Center at 1901 W. Ogden Ave., Downers Grove, IL. Please come in to complete our pet application or fill it out online and we will contact you to schedule an appointment to meet our awesome dogs and cats!

The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!

WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time.
