Meet Corrie, a sweet and resilient girl who's back at the shelter for the second time through no fault of her own. Corrie was first found as a stray in November 2023, quickly won over a family, but was sadly returned as a stray again on July 23rd. Despite being microchipped, her previous owner decided not to reclaim her.
Corrie has shown herself to be a well-behaved and loving companion. Volunteers adore her for her gentle nature, and they've noticed how nicely she walks, though she would do best on a harness. She's also reportedly housebroken, making her an easy addition to any home.
Despite her wonderful qualities, Corrie has been overlooked, waiting for someone to see just how special she is. She's ready to find a forever family that will appreciate everything she has to offer and give her the love she deserves. Will you be the one to take a chance on Corrie?

Behavior Notes:
Per staff 7/23/24: Corrie was nervous in kennel when approaching. She was on her bed and looked up with semi hard eyes. She did not approach when I called her, so I crouched down and used some baby voice to coax her over. SHe came up slowly with semi hard eyes and a low wagging tail. She was patient for leashing and came right out once secured.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls strongly
HANDLING:
Corrie was loose and wiggly right away with us. She wagged her tail so hard her whole booty wagged! She took treats from me gently and showed me a nice "sit. She allowed all handling with a neutral body. Her playful side came out with toys. She liked tennis balls best and would paw after them so silly! She didn't pick them up or bring them back, but had fun chasing them! Overall Corrie seems stressed in kennel but opens up a lot outside!
Per volunteer on 11/2:She's a sweet girl loves alll people. East to leash up and put back. Does pull towards other dogs. Barks at them too. Doesn't seem aggressive just curious.
