My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, future forever family!

My name is Spinner, and I'm a 6-month-old Great Pyrenees from the Shark Week Litter. I weigh in at a dainty 37 pounds, but don't let my size fool you—I've got a big heart and even bigger dreams!

Let's dive right into the details, shall we? 🌊

Just like a thrilling episode of Shark Week, my story is one of adventure and survival. My siblings Tiger, Reef, and I were picked up as strays and ended up in a packed shelter. The clock was ticking, and we were down to hours before facing a fate too scary to think about. But then, like a hero from the depths, an amazing foster family stepped up and gave us a second chance at life. 🦈❤️

If you’re looking for a whirlwind of fun and energy, I’m your girl! Out of my siblings, I’m the most active pup—think of me as the puppy version of a shark on a caffeine buzz. Sometimes, I might be a bit hard to keep up with, but that's just because I'm so full of life! The good news is, that I'm also super smart and learn quickly. With a little effort and training from my new family, I promise to channel all that energy into becoming the best-behaved pup ever. If your life is more "deep-sea expedition" and less "lazy lagoon," we’ll be a perfect match! I’m a high-energy gal who loves a good adventure. Hiking? Absolutely! I’m not a fan of the afternoon heat, though, so early-morning treks are my jam. I’ll be your loyal shark fin in every adventure! I’m still working on my leash manners—kind of like a young shark learning to navigate the waters. I’m making progress, though, and with a bit of practice, I’ll be swimming...err walking smoothly by your side. When it comes to car rides, once we’re on the road, I’m all about chilling out. I’ll lie down and enjoy the ride, no seasickness or anxiety to worry about with me. I’m a fan of chew toys—think of me as a playful shark with a penchant for gnawing. I’ll engage in epic tug-of-war battles with my siblings, Tiger and Reef, but when it comes to playing with humans, I’m more of a spectator. Just picture me lounging on a floaty, watching the action unfold! If you’re hoping for a fetching fiend, you might need to swim with a different shark! I’m more of a "watch the toy float by" kind of gal. I didn’t mind the bath—no dorsal fin of discontent here! I might not be ready to surf the waves just yet, but I’m definitely not afraid of a splash or two.

To my new family...While I might one day have the size and grace of a shark, I’m a gentle giant at heart. My Great Pyrenees nature means I’m calm, patient, and loving. As a Pyrashark, I’ll keep a vigilant eye on my surroundings. Whether it’s a delivery person or a curious squirrel, I’m your very own sea guardian, ready to alert you to any potential “intruders” with a hearty bark. Like a shark that’s fiercely loyal to its territory, I’m devoted to my family. Expect a big, loving heart that’s always ready to be your personal sea captain, guiding you through life’s waves with unwavering loyalty. Just like the ocean has its tides, I have my shedding seasons. Be prepared for a bit of fluff floating around, especially during my seasonal “fur-hurricane., which happens every 6 months FYI ;) ”

I’m a total socialite with fellow dogs! When I meet new dog pals, I get so excited I might dive right into their personal space—think of me as the puppy version of a friendly shark trying to make new friends. I might not always get the hint when they’re not in the mood, but don’t worry; once I get to know them, I’ll settle down and become a much more respectful buddy. Having a canine sidekick would be absolutely perfect for me! With my boundless energy and playful spirit, a fellow furry friend would help keep me entertained and out of mischief. Plus, I promise to share my toys and my love! I haven’t had the chance to meet any cats yet, but I bet I’ll be just as enthusiastic with them as I am with other dogs. I might be a bit like a curious shark trying to play with a sea turtle—eager but needing to learn the rules of engagement. I might need a bit of guidance to learn that not every cat wants to join in the fun. I haven’t been around kids just yet, but I think I’d love having older ones around to share in my adventures. If you’ve got kids who can keep up with my playful antics and give me some clear commands, we’ll be a match made in family fun!

As far as living arrangements go, I’m not exactly cut out for apartment living. I’m a high-energy pup with a bark that could rival a sea lion’s! I need plenty of space to stretch my fins—uh, legs—and lots of room to zoom around and have fun. For those with close neighbors, watch out—I've got some serious Pyrashark vibes! I’m the unofficial guardian of the land and sea, giving a mighty “ROAR” whenever I head outside. Whether it’s a rustling leaf or a passing cloud, I’m on high alert with my barks. Inside, my barking volume is on the decline as I get to know my new ocean—uh, home. Think of me as your loyal Pyrashark, keeping watch over the realm with a splash of enthusiasm! I’m a potty pro! Unlike those fish who just let it all flow in the ocean, I’ve mastered the art of keeping things clean and tidy. No accidents here—just a well-trained Pyrashark ready to join your crew! I’ve got my very own Shark Cave, aka kennel, where I crash after a day of fin-tastic adventures! I sleep there at night and enjoy my meals in this special spot. During the day, you’ll often find me lounging in my cave, chewing on toys or taking a nap. It’s like having a private underwater lair—except it’s on land and way comfier! Just picture me curled up like a shark in a cozy kelp forest. As a puppy, I’m like a little shark on a quest for treasure—everything looks like it could be a tasty snack! I might accidentally munch on things that aren’t meant for chewing, like your favorite shoes or the remote control. But don’t worry; I’m easily corrected and learning what’s off-limits. With a little guidance, I’ll stick to my toys and leave your valuables as untouched as a shipwreck!

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and all-around amazing companion, look no further. I'm ready to swim into your life and make a splash! 🐾💙

Can't wait to meet you and start our adventure together!

Paws and kisses,
Spinner
