My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bernadette and Maude are a bonded pair. They arrived in rescue after spending their first 7 years in a greenhouse aviary, so they were mostly feral and not used to handling. They have made a lot of progress in their foster home but will require an experienced adopter and may always be a little wild. <br/>

Additional adoption info

Because our animals are in foster homes across central Indiana, we are only able to schedule meet & greets with pre-approved applicants. Anyone interested in adopting from our rescue should start with an application. A volunteer will contact you with followup questions to continue the process.

More about this rescue

Exotic Animal Rescue and Pet Sanctuary (EARPS) is a central Indiana 501C(3) non-profit animal rescue group made up of volunteers working to help exotic pets, small companion animals, and non-traditional pets.

We coordinate with Indianapolis Animal Care Services, the Humane Society, and several shelters throughout Indiana and surrounding states, as well as local veterinary clinics to rescue and care for exotic pets including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, reptiles, birds and more.

Our network of volunteers and foster homes works to educate on the proper care of exotic pets, and we are working to control the pet population through spaying and neutering our adoptable animals whenever possible.
