My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! My name is Teddy but I also go by Chubs, Fatty and Mammas Boy (I love food and my mom basically.)! I am a friendly kitten looking for my forever home! I am VERY social with my siblings, and house-mate cats. I am also savvy with less social (grumpy) cats and know how to read their cues. I am patient with children, even allowing them to pick me up when they are gentle with me! I am the best of both cat worlds! I will snuggle with you during a movie and like to crawl under the covers at night like my own little cat cave. I will also chase a ball like a dog-cat, and come when I am called (usually)! My bee wand toy is my FAVORITE. Do you think I might be a good fit for your home? I will be happiest being adopted with one of my 3 sisters or my Mamma Mara as I have lots of energy and need a play buddy to be happiest. I have not had a chance to meet dogs yet, but might be ok with a gentle introduction over time. I can not wait to meet you and charm your human socks off! Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
