My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Animal Profile: Lola is an estimated 1 year old spayed female lab mix (DNA test showed some other breeds including cattle dog, husky and Great Pyrenees) who is full grown at a perfectly petite 42 lbs. Despite her rough beginning, having lived most of her puppy life on a tie out day and night, she has a friendly and playful demeanor and is quick to trust new people. In foster care, she has learned the basics of house-training, crate-training, and beginning obedience such as sit, down, and loose-leash walking; she will benefit from a family who can continue to provide more advanced training. This girl is energetic, likes to run, loves to go on car rides, enjoys fetch, playing in the water, and toys. She is starting to appreciate quiet time and soothing pets, two. She currently lives with two other female dogs and they all play well; she accepts corrections from other dogs appropriately. She has met kids in the 7-10 year old range and been very friendly. She is working on her excited mouthiness and has shown improvement with training. She has a tendency to tease/bark at the goats and chickens, with the only interactions being through a fence. She has been fine toward horses and donkeys. Lola is a lovely dog who has shown a great deal of resilience in her short life and a committed family will reap the benefits of her joyful demeanor and kind spirit.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, negative heartworm test, health certificate, and microchip with lifetime registration. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization.

Animal History: Lola was rescued from an outdoor existence in Oregon where she was in dire need of medical care (with a large tumor in her mouth) and just attention. She has been in foster care with Dog Gone Seattle since May 6, 2024. She had her tumor removed and according to pathology the surgery should be curative; she is now spayed, healthy, and ready for adoption in the greater Seattle area.
