Meet Beethoven, a gentle giant who is a 2-year-old Great Pyrenees/St. Bernard mix weighing 83 pounds. This sweet and calm boy is incredibly loving and enjoys getting lots of pets. Beethoven might be a bit shy and slow to warm up initially, but once he does, his friendly and adaptable nature shines through.
Beethoven is quite the homebody who loves lounging indoors. He enjoys brief walks and some time in the yard but is perfectly content hanging out inside. He has done well with everyone he has met, including another dog in our care. His previous rescue said he was good with other dogs and kids.
Completely potty trained, Beethoven has never had an accident in his run at the shelter. He walks nicely on a leash without pulling and knows how to sit. While he’s not interested in toys, he does enjoy chewing on bones. Beethoven is very quiet, never making a peep, and is not destructive at all. He does get anxious and sad during car rides, although he doesn’t misbehave.
This calm and sweet boy doesn’t jump up on people and takes his time sniffing around and lounging in the yard. He would love a fenced yard, but it is not a requirement. If you’re looking for a loving, calm, and gentle companion who’s happy to just be with you, Beethoven might be the perfect match!
His minimum adoption fee is $295 plus a $15 fee, if 4 months or older, for rabies registration for McLean County residents.
He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm checked, dewormed, and is on flea and heartworm preventatives.
