My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

(DOB 12/9/2023) Diamond's sparkle is sure to catch a dog lovers eye. She is a sweet & affectionate pup who loves to be with her human all day, so if you are looking for a companion to hang out with while you work from home, Pink Dimond would make an excellent "co-worker."

Are you looking for a cat-friendly dog?  She also loves her cat companions.  Plus, she is dog friendly, too.  Another confident dog in the home will be best for her, so they can kind of "show her the ropes."  She is definitely submissive and will quickly roll over and show you her belly.  She is still learning how to please her people and would do well with another confident playful pup in the home, so a doggie friend would be great.

She loves to play and learn new things as long as yummy treats are involved. She is smart and easily redirected.  Diamond LOVES new things to chew on so plan on buying and rotating lots of fun and interesting chew toys for her.  Sweet Diamond does not require a fenced yard and could be a great choice for an apartment, condo or townhome.  She really just loves hanging out inside with her people or jumping in the car with them for a little adventure.  She really is a bit of a velcro pup; you will never be lonely with this girl next to you!

Diamond is still working on how to walk on a leash properly due to her being so playful and just wanting to love on the human walking her.  Her new family will need to take her out for several walks each day and continue to work with her loose leash walking.

Diamond really loves being with her people and after playtime, snuggling with them and getting belly rubs and lots of affection.  She will need a home with no children as she does not feel comfortable with them.   Another couple of bonus points for Diamond; she is already house trained (she typically goes out every few hours to potty) and sleeps quietly through the night in her crate.

If you want to add a BIG LOVE to your life, a pup that will adore you, and fill your heart with joy, its's time to meet Diamond and fill out an application for adoption!!

As part of Pink DIamond’s $325 adoption fee, she is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little girl, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adoptPink DIamond, you can fill in an online application for her under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

1. Review the description of the pet you are interested in to make sure that the information we have fits with your particular needs and desires. In most cases, the information on the website is current and gives the information that we have about the particular pet. The picture of the pet does not tell the whole story.

2. Complete the adoption application at https://pawsforlifenc.org. Please make sure that you give us as much information about yourself as you can. List all animals currently living with you including other dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and rodents. The application needs to be complete in order to help us determine if the pet you have chosen is a good match for your home.

3. Once the application is submitted we will contact you, your references, and your vet.

4. We require a home visit prior to dog adoptions.

5. If more than one person applies, we will go with the BEST fit. If all things are equal, we go in the order the applications were received.

6. Once the home visit has been completed, you will be asked to complete an adoption agreement.

7. The adoption fee is $325 for dogs under 6 months, $300 for 6 months and older. The adoption fee is $125 for kittens under 1 year ($225 for 2 kittens), $85 for cats 1 year and older. This fee helps us to provide the necessary medical care and other needs for the pets while in foster care.

8. All Paws For Life NC pets are spayed or neutered if old enough, current on shots, micro chipped, and to our knowledge, in good health before they are adopted out. Puppies under 6 months of age will require a $100 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee and a special puppy spay/neuter agreement. Kittens under 6 months will require a $50 refundable spay/neuter deposit in addition to the adoption fee. We are all volunteers and receive no monetary compensation for our work with the pets. The adoption fee is used to help defray costs in the rescue and care of the pets.

9. Congratulations! You are on your way to having your new companion. We hope that you and your new companion share a life of love and happiness. We welcome any comments you may wish to give us about your pet at any time.
