Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Introducing Gracey, the pint-sized dynamo with a heart as big as her floppy ears! This Labrador Retriever mix is a bundle of joy wrapped in fur, and she's got more spunk than a firecracker on the Fourth of July. Gracey's already a potty-training pro and gets along swimmingly with cats, dogs, and just about anyone with a pulse-including the kiddos.
She's mastering the art of leash-walking and is showing promise with her crate training, but what she really excels at is cuddling. Gracey is a certified snuggle enthusiast, perfectly content to snooze away the day in your lap or right by your side. But don't let those sleepy eyes fool you-when there's a squeaky toy or a tug rope in sight, this pup's ready to play! Gracey is in the teething phase, so she might dish out some affectionate little love bites, but with the right redirection to a rawhide or another approved chew toy, she's quickly learning what's fair game and what's off-limits.
Now, about her name-Gracey might sound elegant, but her wobbly little legs tell a different story. Diagnosed with rickets, she's a work in progress, but with a bit of TLC, sunshine, and some exercise, she's on the road to recovery. Despite her less-than-graceful gait, this sweet girl carries herself like a true queen, and she's got the spirit to prove it!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
