My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

As an adoptable cat, Joe might not be the first to greet visitors with exuberance, but his calm presence and easygoing nature make him the purrfect companion for someone seeking a relaxed and peaceful feline friend. He enjoys leisurely naps in sunbeams, the occasional chin scratch, and perhaps a playful swat at a dangling toy, when the mood strikes. If you are considering adopting Joe, you might find yourself drawn to his tranquil demeanor and his ability to bring tranquility to your home. And, who knows? Overtime, he might just become the heart and soul of your household, ruling over his domain with gentle authority and a hint of laziness. If you can offer a temporary foster home, please complete a foster application at ITVrescue.org.

All of our cats are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped and spayed or neutered.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
