Meet Poseidon, a vibrant 1-year-old male Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who is brimming with joy and playfulness. This sweet and happy boy recently enjoyed a Doggie Day Out with a child, showing his gentle and affectionate side. Poseidon gets along well with other dogs, although his compatibility with cats is still unknown. He keeps his kennel clean here at the rescue and is ready to bring his loveable, active energy to a new home. It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
